History

The native Americans where the people who had been living in America thousands of years before Christoffer Columbus arrived. Before they were called Indians, because when Christoffer Colombus first discovered North- America he thought that it was Indies. But now it is politically correct to say Native Americans. There are more than three millions Native Americans in Canada and America. The native Americans are dived into different tribes. They lived original in North and South America before the colonization and discovery of America. Many parts in north And South America the original Native Americans still living. Natives Americans were usually hunters and collectors, many still do that especially in the Amazonas rainforest. They also do algriculture and fishing.

Culture

In the early years, many as these native Americans encountered European explorers and engaged in trade. They exchanged food, crafts, fur, horses and iron. Today many native Americans continue to evolve and adapt to changing circumstances. Native Americans believed on nature, and they had a lot of rituals and ceremonies. Pochahontas was a native American woman. She was born with the name Matoaka. Numerous places, landmarks, and different products in the United State have been named after her. Her story has been romanticized over the years. Pochahontas is most famously linked to the Captain John Smith. According to the tradition had Pochahontas saved his life.  Pochahontas birth years is unknown but we know she died when she was only 20 years old.
